Fitzroya cupressoides, Patagonian cypress, Alerce. USDA H7-hardy
taller and smaller may be available too
A single specie genus, usually dioecious, closely related to disselma and widdringtonia. Potentially a massive tree if not bonsaid at the height you prefer, but quite slow growing and long lived(up to 3600yrs). In our experience the specie prefers more damp planting(though free draining).
A fluffy looking youngster, with sometime slightly chaotic/random laterals. Caning the leader is recommended.
