Cephalotaxus harringtonii fastigiata, columnar Japanese plum yew, USDA H6-hardy. Smaller versions may be available too.
Vertical shoots of dark green foliage reminiscent of taxus foliage only larger leaved.Basal shoots multiply prolifically with age. Slow growing and slower still to get basal shoots multiplying. Starts of with one or two main leaders, as a skinny plant, but when the basal shoots multiply it becomes more of a broad vase shape over time.
