Acer palmatum tamuke yama

The large multi-dissected leaves are not as deeply cut as such other forms as ~crimson queen and ~dissectum nigrum. There is a little more width to the centre of each lobe. Stiff leaf stalks are red. The new foliage is crimson-red in Spring, but soon changes to dark purple-red hat holds its tone well, throughout Simmer….and better than most other cv’s. The Autumn colour is bright scarlet. The bark of young shoots and twigs is deep maroon with a whitish overcast tone. The cv has been listed since 1710. Tamuke-yama translates from Japanese to English as ‘tribute to the mountain. 2-4m eventual height, mounded, any light…though we do not recommend surrounding with stone/paving.
