Veitch’s fir is the smallest fir from Japan(Honshu. Sikokku). Fast growth to @15-25m in the wild. Dark glossy green upper sides to needles with two white-silver stomatal bands on undersides. Tolerates chalk, extremely hardy in low temperatures- one of the hardiest of all firs
